NavAd Brrrrrrr Campout

by | Dec 7, 2024 | Trail Life

Navigators and Adventurers from Trail Life Troop AL-0236 had a campout on 12/6-8 that was affectionately called the Brrrrrrr campout.  The temps were cool for Alabama, 26 degrees on Saturday morning. However, Saturday was sunny and clear, quickly warming up to the low 60’s.  The nice weather made it enjoyable to work on the Woods Tools Badge and to teach the Trailmen how to split, chop and saw wood safely and effectively.  There were several other badge requirements that were accomplished in addition to great games, fun, and fellowship.  There were even some great campfire stories that included Mr. Todd’s fictious episodes on a rented motorcycle.  The food was warm and tasty with a big breakfast of bacon and eggs, burgers for lunch, and homemade stew for dinner.  Thankfully, Saturday night was warmer and made the early morning departure much easier on Sunday.
