Membership Chair
The Membership Chair responds to prospect inquiries and oversees a team to provide a welcoming experience for prospective members and engagement and retention of current members.
Qualifications
- Christian man or woman age 21 or older
- Frazer Church Volunteer (or eligible)
- TLUSA Registered Adult (or eligible)
Core Duties
- Respond to inquiries about membership
- Extend hospitality at meetings to new and prospective members.
- Assist with registration and on-boarding of new members.
- Assist Trail Guides with follow-up to absent members.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain awareness of troop activities to facilitate interaction with prospective members.
- Complete Peak 1 and Peak 2 trainings during first year of service.
Timing of Duties
- Onboarding occurs throughout the year as new members join.
- The Membership Team should be ready to assist with visits and enrollment matters at troop meetings.
- Membership Specialists may be involved in follow-up with prospective or existing members outside of meetings.
- Membership Specialists may need to occasionally communicate by phone with some members during reasonable hours.
- Attendance at campouts and activities is not required, but may inform a practical understanding of the ministry’s operations.
